The success of the Dodge Ram has made it become a spun off marque simply known as the “Ram,” which is owned by the FCA. A truck that inspires a whole marque has to be special. So special that the “Walker Texas Ranger” TV series used it. Sadly, the Ram is only available in select markets. The Ram 1500 is a light pickup truck that can tow up to over 10,000 pounds of weight.
The first Ram was minted out way back in 1981. It replaced the Dodge D Series, however it kept its predecessor’s model designations. Ram, “D,” or “B” were used to mark out two wheel drives, while Power Ram or “W” were used to indicate four-wheel drive.
