The track has witnessed 2 record breaking speeds of the McLaren F1 and the Bugatti Veyron. Thus, it was in order for Bugatti to test the Veyron Super Sport on this track. In July, 2010, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport recorded the fastest speed for a production car at 267.856 mph. The record was done by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition. They were 5 units in number all spotting a predominantly black look, with a base of orange. The World Record Edition Super Sports had taken off the limiters which limited speed to 258 mph.
